We haven’t spoken about music for the WUOL Summer Listening program for a while. But here it is – 3 blogs for the price of one!!! (Note these are all music pieces.) They are called Orchestral Suite No. 2 by Bach, Variations on a Theme of Haydn by Brahms, and Flute Concerto in A Major by Carl Phillip Emanuele Bach.
I did an activity for each one. For Orchestral Suite No. 2 I colored a pattern full of words I thought of while I was listening. For Variations on a Theme of Haydn I drew lines to represent pitch and tempo. For Flute Concerto on A Major I wrote about the setting of the music, and what the characters do, and the conclusion. I wrote mine about the legendary ninja lumberjack that makes lots of sandwiches. But my mom didn’t like my epic idea; apparently she didn’t see ninjas in the music.
